Because it’s diesel, you’ll never need oil, it’s much more fuel efficient and the gas doesn’t spoil like regular gas. You can add a massive tank so that you’re good for months once you turn it on.
I recently found that you can buy a kit that’s a snap to install and will allow you to use regular gas OR the gas that comes to your home, just like a gas dryer. Natural gas a FAR MORE COST EFFECTIVE (amazing how much the difference is) and you won’t need to compete at the gas pumps (if they even have gas during the emergency).
