The EF6300iSDE portable generator ($4,099) has a noise level of 58 to 64 dB(A), which makes it as quiet (super quiet) as Honda and Cummings. The 6300 has a max output of 6300 watts and 5500 rated.

They say that continuous run time is 13.3 hours, but that is at 1/4 load and a bit misleading if you ask me; I'm guessing that at half load, you can expect about 5 hours.

Yamaha makes some fantastic products, but with such a small run time, you'll be filling up often and because the noise level is so great, you're going to pay extra. I also don't like the 2 year warranty. I would however, buy this or the Cummins model (see my review) before Honda.

I have researched the 2000 watts portable generator from Yamaha and customers give its good coverage. It is quiet and practical for small workshop/field sites. Also great for camping and other recreational activities.
